CEREC 3D, or Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics, uses Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) technology to correct damaged teeth in a single appointment. The CEREC 3D instrument utilizes camera technology to photograph the decaying tooth. Dr. Nab then employs the CAD technology to design the perfect restoration , without the use of dental impressions . The CAM program then builds the restoration for placement. Now it is ready to bond the restoration onto your tooth. Your new filling, crown, or other restoration is created to match your tooth color, is quick, easy, plaque-resistant and inconspicuous. With the extremely precise CEREC 3D system, Dr. Nab can create porcelain fillings, crowns, and other single-tooth restorations in just one visit.
